About Me

Madalyn Watson is a writer and editor based in Fullerton, California. She most recently worked as a freelance entertainment news writer for Collider.
She also previously served as a reporter for the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post, a weekly newspaper that serves the community of Gillespie County in Texas. 

Raised in Southern California, Watson graduated from Baylor University with a BA in journalism, a news-editorial concentration and a minor in history. Before graduating, she worked as the editor-in-chief for The Baylor Lariat, an award winning collegiate newspaper. She was also filled the roles of arts & life editor, print managing editor, a staff writer and reporter during her time at the publication.

In addition, Watson worked as a Writing Intern for Study Breaks Magazine during the summers of 2020 and 2019. In 2018, she was also an assistant editor for the Phoenix Literary Magazine.

In her free time, Watson enjoys reading, hiking and yoga. At the end of a long day of writing, she can be found crocheting, baking or listening to true crime podcasts while curled up with her cat, Penny.
